What is Family Touch?
Family Touch is a licensing agent for Developmental homes in Arizona. Family Touch provides licensing services for developmental foster homes in partnership with the Arizona Department of Economic Security Division of Developmental Disabilities. We provide licensing services for Adults and Children with developmental Disabilities. We offer safe, loving and nurturing homes for your adult or child. Our approach to the planning and delivery of services supports individuals and families to be successful both in their own lives and within the community.
What is an ADH/CDH home?
A Child or Adult Development Home is a licensed foster home which provide a family setting that specializes in the care of persons with a developmental disability such as autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy , or an intellectual disability. These individuals are placed through the Division of Developmental Disabilities.
What are the General Requirements of a Developmental Home?
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
- Applicants must have a legal residency in Arizona and be a US Citizen.
- Applicants must have adequate space and bedrooms for members in the home.
- Applicants must be a reputable and honest character.
- Applicants must pass a child and adult protective service background check.
- Applicants must pass a criminal history background check.
- Applicants must complete both pre and post licensing training.
- Applicants must be knowledgeable, stable and mature.
- Applicants must have physical, emotional, and mental stability.
- Applicants must have income resources that are currently meeting the needs of their family.
- Applicants must have adequate transportation.
- Applicants must pass a Life Safety Inspection.
